Tyler has been on the hunt for a job since he finished school back in December. Despite his vigilant efforts the search has been rather fruitless until now…
Tyler just accepted a job flying for American Patrols down in Texas.
Tyler starts work at the end of July/beginning of August so we have about 3 weeks to find somewhere to live, pack all of our belongings and go. Needless to say, we are feeling a bit stressed and somewhat frazzled; even so, we are so excited and can’t wait to embark on this new adventure.
Leaving Utah means leaving family, friends, good jobs, and all the familiar places and things we love. As hard as that will be we are confident that this will be an amazing opportunity for Tyler and me.
Stay tuned for all our moving madness… Texas, here we come.

Congrats on the new job and the new location! Moving has always been a necessary evil in my life. I have always loved to relocate. It gave me the opportunity to reinvent myself, to learn new cultures, to experience a new way of life. I have always enjoyed the jounrey, however, I've never been alone. Steve and I are a stronger couple due to the paths we've chosen (or have had chosen for us). And the girls are now confident and self-sufficient women due to their eclectic journeys. We learned to prioritize the importance of physical property, to laugh at that which we can't control and Courtney learned how to pack so efficiently that she can now live for weeks out of a single gym bag.
Yay more friends in Texas!! It is hard to leave friends and family but the people here are so sweet. I believe that "southern hospitality" exists after moving here! You'll really love that! How exciting to start a new job and make changes! I wish you the best! I hope to hear all about where you end up moving to and hopefully we'll get to see you guys!
Marriage is an adventure. There are so many funny things that you learn about your sweetheart once you are married. Our adventures in marriage began on December 15, 2007. Since then, we have discovered that the road to forever is long and challenging but one of the most thrilling paths to travel. And getting to know the ones we love is the best part of the journey.
Our beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth Lee, was born June 13, 2011 and is the love of our lives. Playing Mommy and Daddy is like living a dream. What a beautiful way to experience eternity!
